BIOGRAPHY

Dr. George Lisi is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology & Biochemistry and Chemistry at Brown University. He is also an investigator in Brown’s Giuliani RNA Center, where his research explores the biochemical and structural basis of allosteric regulation in enzymes.

George’s laboratory conducted the first NMR spectroscopic studies of CRISPR-Cas effectors, advancing understanding of how molecular structure drives protein function. His work continues to illuminate mechanisms that define RNA-guided systems and enzyme regulation.
